Mary Tichenor

Mary Ann Tichenor, age 94, of Mapleton, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025.
Born in Mankato MN, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James Tichenor, her parents, George and Mercedes (Sadie) Pleiss, two brothers, Ernie and Joseph Pleiss and son-in- law, Michael Nowak.
Mary Ann survived by her daughters: Linda Nowak of Texas, Patricia Homan (James) of Alabama, Jody Grant of Texas, and Billie Wright (Frank) of Washington; as well as 20 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Good Counsel Academy, she cherished monthly lunch gatherings with her classmates. She enjoyed bowling, bus trips, doing ceramics and spending time with her family.
A memorial service will be held on June 11, 2026, at the Mapleton Community Center at 1:30 p.m.
