Linda Marie was born August 21, 1962 to Richard and Jean Ann (Whitney) Bartholomew in Mankato, MN. She grew up in the Mapleton, MN area and graduated from Mapleton High School, the class of 1980.
On March 19, 1986, she was united in marriage to Michael Reynolds in Las Vegas, NV. Their union was a cornerstone of her life for nearly 40 years. Linda worked for over 15 years at the Mapleton Nursing Home and dedicated 28 years to the students of Maple River High School as a paraprofessional. After decades of service to her community, she retired in 2025.
To know Linda was to know someone who truly appreciated the beauty in the world. Linda spent many hours in her garden and took immense pride in the flowers she grew. She loved to go fishing, the song of birds visiting her yard, and the festive glow of lights and decorations that turned a house into a home. Linda was often the life of the party—she couldn’t resist good music and was always ready to hit the dance floor.
Above all, Linda’s greatest pride was her family. She lived for her role as a mother and was overjoyed to become a grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with those she loved most.
Linda’s spirit will live on every time a garden blooms, a line is cast into the water, or a favorite song fills the room.
She is preceded in death by her mother Jean Ann Bartholomew; father-in-law Richard Reynolds and sister-in-law Jan Massop.
Linda is survived by her husband Michael of Delavan, MN; her children: Shayne (Jordann) Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds (Frannie Tetzlaff) and Michaela (Trevor) Kleinow all of Mapleton, MN; her beloved grandson Bowen; father Richard Bartholomew; siblings: Karmen (Kim) Bartholomew, Brad Bartholomew all of Mapleton and Amy (Trace) Robbins of Easton; mother-in-law Catherine Reynolds of Mapleton; her in-laws: Cindy (wife of Kevin Wingen) Duncanson of Winnebago, MN, Kristine (Paul) Sellers and Jeff (Jennifer) Reynolds all of Mapleton; along with many nieces, nephews, and their families.
