NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council will hold a Public Hearing for the City of Mapleton's proposed Rental Ordinance amendments. The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17th, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. at the Mapleton Fire Station, 103 3rd Avenue N.E., Mapleton, MN. This meeting is open to all interested citizens. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available at Mapleton City Hall.

CITY OF AMBOY
REDUCED GARBAGE/SEWER
RATES
FOR THE YEAR 2026
Applications are being taken for reduced garbage and sewer rates in the City of Amboy. To be considered for these rates, you must pick up an income statement during regular business hours at City Hall, 244 East Maine Street, Amboy, MN fill it out, attach documentation of your income such as wage stubs, social security statement, tax returns (a list is available at city hall) and return it to City Hall. If no proof of income is given, your application will not be approved.
Qualifications: Recommended income level guideline is $23,000/year per household.
Applications must be returned to City Hall no later than February 24, 2026.

Blue Earth County Board Summary
The Blue Earth County Board meeting was held Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Blue Earth County Courthouse, Commissioners’ Room, was attended by Commissioners Kip Bruender, Patty O’Connor, Kevin Paap, Mark Piepho, and Vance Stuehrenberg. Also present were County Administrator Bob Meyer, County Attorney Pat McDermott, and Administrative Assistant Stephanie Jahnke.
Commissioners voted 5-0, unless otherwise noted:
• Approve the Jay Engles findings and order for County Ditch 47, removing property from the drainage system (Cambria & Butternut Valley Townships).
• Approve the John & Donna Engles findings and order for County Ditch 47, removing property from the drainage system (Cambria & Butternut Valley Townships).
• Approve the Franklin and Sandra Klinkner findings and order for County Ditch 47, removing property from the drainage system (Cambria & Butternut Valley Townships).
• Approve the findings and order accepting the contract for repairs to Minneopa Creek.
• Approve the findings and order setting the County Ditch 88 repair hearing (McPherson Township).
• Approve the findings and order setting the County Ditch 93 repair hearing (Decoria Township).
• Approve the findings and order initiating the redetermination of benefits and appointing viewers for County Ditch 1 (McPherson Township).
• Approve a resolution to Bretz RV Minnesota LLC for an Interim Use Permit to operate a business for recreational vehicle sales, marine sales, and service (Judson Township).
• Approve an amendment to the Blue Earth County Code of Ordinances regarding mining standards.
• Approve the appointments for the Recycling and Waste Reduction Advisory Committee as presented.
• Approve a resolution establishing the absentee ballot board and County UOCAVA ballot board.
• Approve the appointments of Commissioners Stuehrenberg and Piepho to the County Canvassing Board.
• Approve the Human Services items as presented.
• Approve the January 6, 2026 Board Minutes.
• Approve the bills as presented.
• Authorize the Board Chair and County Administrator to enter into an agreement with the Minnesota Public Employee Association, Inc (MNPEA) – Probation Officer Unit.
• Authorize the Board Chair and County Administrator to enter into an agreement with the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc. Local #440 (Command Staff).
• Approve an off-site gambling permit for the Waseca Hockey Association.
• Accept the 4th Quarter 2025 donations as presented.
