Obituary - Georgia Wilson

Georgia M. Wilson, age 95, of Delavan, MN died Monday, April 13, 2026 at the Mapleton Community Home. Visitation will be Monday, April 20th from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026 at United Church of Mapleton. Georgia Mae was born July 4, 1930 to George and Velma (Garnes) Moore in Boone, IA. She was united in marriage to Robert Wilson on September 26, 1950 in Blue Earth and to this union they were blessed with eight children. Georgia was a farm wife where she worked alongside her husband. She enjoyed gardening, canning, painting, and writing in beautiful calligraphy. Georgia was very loving, caring, and family oriented. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; son Randy Wilson; granddaughter Megan Hopkins and son-in-law Max Hopkins.
Georgia is survived by her children: Diane (Denny) Schroeder, Cindy (Steve) Massop, Brenda (Craig) Timmerman, Cheryl (Dan) Haugh, Bob (Bev) Wilson, Patrice (Mike) Falck and Jolene Hopkins; 22 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Tracy Wilson.
