Bids on Milk Products
Maple River Public Schools
Independent School District No. 2135, Maple River Public Schools, Mapleton, Minnesota will receive bids on milk products for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years. Bids will be accepted until 1:00 pm on Friday, May 8th, 2026. These bids are to be received in the Maple River District Business Office located in Mapleton. Action will be taken on these bids at the regular School Board meeting on June 8th, 2026. Specifications may be obtained from the Maple River Food Service Director, Heather Ehlke, (507) 524-3918 ext.4282 or hehlke@isd2135.org.
The Maple River School Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Minnesota Statute 204B.33 that a general election will be held in Mapleton on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing candidates for the office listed below. The filing period begins at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19, 2026, and ends at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
(Note: Filing offices will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.)

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Good Thunder will hold a public hearing on May 11th at 6:30 pm at City Hall, 130 S. Ewing Street. This will be an informational hearing to discuss the proposed drinking, waste, and storm water infrastructure improvement projects, including economic and environmental impacts, service area, alternatives to the project, and potential funding sources, such as the Water and Environmental and the Community Facilities Programs from USDA Rural Development and Minnesota Public Facility Authority. All resident and property owners within the City of Good Thunder are encouraged to attend.

WHEREAS, Bonnie Klein has faithfully served as Librarian for the City of Mapleton for over 40 years; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie has demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to serving the Mapleton community; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie has spent countless hours assisting residents in finding information, fostering learning, and promoting literacy; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie has supported community festivals by opening the library for activities that bring residents together; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie’s summer reading programs and activities have inspired imagination and a love of reading among the youth of our community; and
WHEREAS, Bonnie’s kind and approachable demeanor has made her a beloved figure in Mapleton and an inspiration to all who value literature and lifelong learning;
