Beth Rush
Beth Marie Rush, 73 of Good Thunder, MN died on May 31, 2026. 
A visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. will be held at Northview – North Mankato Mortuary on Friday, June 19, 2026.
A Memorial Service Celebrating Beth’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder, with a visitation starting one hour before.
Beth was born on August 6, 1952, to Loren and Mildred “Millie” (Ulbricht) Darge in Mankato, MN. Beth attended St. John's Lutheran School from Kindergarten to 8th grade. She continued on to Good Thunder High School, where she graduated from in 1970.  Beth enjoyed gardening, archery, choir and started teaching Sunday School when she was in high school.  She went to Concordia College where she met Raymond Rush and they married after she graduated in June of 1974 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.  
Beth and Raymond lived in Readlyn, IA; then Freistadt, WI; Harold, SD; Sidney, NE; Good Thunder, MN; Basehor, KS; then finally back to Good Thunder, MN.  During this time, Raymond was in ministry, and Beth taught school. Together, they were blessed with four children.
Beth started daycare in 1991 in their house by Anderson's Trucking.  She dedicated 30 years to daycare in her home and made kids eat their peas and carrots.  She continued to help out with Sunday School and Christmas pageants.  Beth appeared to like mowing, but it was more about keeping the family farm place looking nice.  She used the walking mower regularly for the exercise.  She was an avid gardener and loved to provide fresh vegetables for the family and daycare kids, but raccoons always seemed to get some of the sweet corn.  She attended church almost every Sunday and loved to sing the hymns.  To get away, she enjoyed fishing up at Horseshoe Lake at the cabin, catching sunfish with family and friends.  She loved watching her grandkids swim and play and kept a careful eye on them.  Beth cheered for the Minnesota sports teams, the Twins and the Vikings. Beth was an active member of Mother’s Club, Maple River Study Club, Card Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Good Thunder, Post 616, presiding as their president.
Left to cherish Beth’s memory are her husband of 52 of years Raymond; children Jeremy (Elizabeth Jensen) Rush, Nate (Stephanie) Rush, Matt Rush, and Rebecca (Marcus) Talbert; grandchildren Anna, Karie, Grace, Hunter and Hazel; sister, Cindy (Joe) Ott of Davenport, IA; brothers David Darge of Atascadero, CA, and Joel (Carolyn) Darge of St. Peter, MN; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Millie Darge/Wrucke; and her parents in-law Royal and Josephine Rush.
