Obituary - Arlene Bergemann

Arlene M. Bergemann, age 92, died July 3, 2026, at Oak Terrace Assisted Living, North Mankato.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Mankato.  Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at a later date in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Good Thunder.  Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. www.mankatomortuary.com
Arlene Marie was born October 15, 1933, to Joseph B. and Marcella (Doering) Birr in Delavan Township, Faribault County.  Arlene was baptized November 5, 1933, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Amboy and was confirmed March 30, 1947, at St. John Lutheran Church, Good Thunder. 
Arlene graduated from Good Thunder High School and Concordia College, St. Paul.
Arlene was united in marriage to Hilbert C. Bergemann on June 27, 1954.
Arlene is survived by her children, Linda (Lynn) Sorgatz, Gayle (Mark) Mortensen, Edith (Matt) Williams, and Barbara (Chris) Anderson; grandchildren, Neal Sorgatz, Jesse Sorgatz (Billie Myhra), Ben Sorgatz, Janna Sorgatz, Jodi (Chris) Lamsam, Kevin Mortensen, Erica (Mike) Ramthun, Jenean (Mitchell) Cherney, Thomas (Kyndra) Williams, Stephanie (Matt) Lauer, Melany (Cory) Jans; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Orin Birr; sister-in-law, Norma Peters; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hilbert in 2021; daughter, Sharon; one sister and three brothers.
